2 skeins – “Twinkle” Red Heart Soft Baby – approx 448 yards per skein
Size 15 circular needles

4x4 inches = 10 sts across by 13 sts high

Notes

This baby blanket is knit while holding two strands of yarn at the same time – one white and one “twinkle”. The border is done is seed stitch. The rest is knit in stockinette stitch with 4 garter and eyelet strips spaced throughout.

Directions

Cast on 80 stitches.

Bottom Border
Odd Rows: K1 P1 until end.
Even Rows: P1 K1 until end. (Knit the purls and purl the knits)
Repeat: Repeat these two rows 3 more times to create the seed stitch border.

Basic Pattern

HALF STOCKINETTE PANEL
Row 1: (RS) K1, P1 for the first 6 stitches. Place marker. Knit across to the final 6 stitches. Place marker. K1, P1 for the final 6 stitches to end. (Right side)
Row 2: (WS) P1, K1 for the first 6 stitches to marker. Purl across to marker. P1, K1 for the final 6 stitches to end. (Wrong side)
Rows 3-10: Repeat rows 1-2 four times
